We deliver high availability email hosting through load-balanced server clustering. The idea behind clustering is to minimize points of failure — key components should have a backup in place in the event of a failure. Our system utilizes front-end application server clusters, each equipped with pair of load balancers. Clusters are process specific meaning requests for incoming mail, outgoing mail, client connectivity and webmail are all handled by separate server clusters. By placing unique services on standalone server clusters, we can greatly diminish the risk of an interruption.
